10 Movie Franchises Where The Villain Became A Hero

5. Storm Shadow - G.I. Joe: Retaliation

GI Joe Retaliation Storm Shadow
MGM

Despite having little in the way of dialogue Storm Shadow still managed to steal every scene in both G.I. Joe movies; he might be a villain, but he’s a really cool one. He has an intense rivalry with Joe member Snake Eyes, who believes Shadow is responsible for the murder of their teacher Hard Master (*snickers*)

Shadow is an out and out evil dude in the original, but during the events of Retaliation, it becomes clear he’s innocent of his Master’s murder. He joined with Cobra to track down the real killer, and when he realises it was the shape-shifting Zartan he helps the Joe team bring down Cobra.

It was the right move giving Storm Shadow more to do, since the actual heroes – aside from The Rock, obviously – are a bland bunch. Actor Byung-hun Lee also a habit of being the best thing about bad Hollywood sequels; check him out in Red 2 and the T-1000 in Terminator: Genisys for more info.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
