8. As The Franchise That Gave The World Jar Jar Binks - Star Wars

It's true. When you think of Star Wars nowadays, chances are that - somewhere in and amongst your thought process - an image of Jar Jar Binks will pop up whether somebody mentions any one of the films. Jar Jar is as ingrained into the Star Wars culture in the same way that "The Force" and R2-D2 are... it just so happens that everybody loves The Force and R2-D2, and absolutely hates everything Jar Jar Binks. After all, the Star Wars prequels tainted the Star Wars brand and Jar Jar Binks has become something of a poster boy for everything that went wrong: when you say that you hate Jar Jar, you're really saying that you hate the Star Wars prequels - or, at the very least, elements of them. No matter what happens, Star Wars will be remembered for Jar Jar as much as it'll be remembered for Princess Leia. And that's just wrong.
