10 Movie Heroes Who Need To Be President

6. Mary Poppins - Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins"Straighten up your tie, Mr. Speaker. We're going to negotiate for the lives of the American people. You can at least look presentable." Could anyone imagine a Mary Poppins presidency that would not go smoothly? After reviewing the materials, I saw once again why anyone who is anyone respected and feared the nanny from on high. Mary Poppins does not just want order to come out of nothing, she expects it. In the Poppins administration, I do not believe that any of the theatrics that have been going on in Washington the past few years would continue another second. There would not be a budget or debt ceiling negotiation, there would be President Poppins€™ plan, and you all have the honor of pledging your unanimous support. This is not to say that Mary Poppins would be a tyrant in her rule. She would always be willing to talk, but let no one doubt who is truly in charge. And after she has passed her legislation, we will all look on in awe and notice that her name is on absolutely nothing that was passed. For while President Poppins would accomplish much, she would take absolutely no credit, and expect none for her efforts. The presidency would be her job and duty, not her pedestal. She would be a ruler that above all else served the interests of everyone else, with almost no consideration to her personal desires. Is that normal, or expected? Absolutely not, but that is Mary Poppins: practically perfect in every way.
