10 Movie Heroes You Didn't Realise Probably Died Horrible Deaths
5. Belle - Beauty & The Beast
Disney's Beauty and the Beast is a triumph of delightful animation, but more importantly of love. Despite it being about a monstrous 11-year-old who gets transformed into a literal buffalo-dog in a suit and manages to make his prisoner fall in love with him, the ending that sees Belle realise that she IS actually in love with him too is surprisingly heartwarming.
Their love saves all of the enchanted castle's victims - all of whom were trapped by the sorceress simply because their boss was a douchebag - and they live happily ever after in their romantic tale as old as time.
But Wait...
Another tale, which isn't quite as old as time, is the tale of the French Revolution.
That momentous period in European history saw the poor people of France rising up and overthrowing the rich, with the rather permanent solution of the guillotine as their means of rebellion.
Presumably, the fact that Belle and The Artist Formerly Known As Beast live in a huge, opulent castle would have meant that a couple of decades after the Happy Ending, they had their happy little heads chopped off entirely.
