4. The Wrong Coordinates - The Fate Of The Furious
After The Fate of the Furious' opening introduction between Dom (Vin Diesel) and Cipher (Charlize Theron), the scene shifts to Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) coaching his daughter's football team, but not before we get a quick establishing shot of the surrounding forest.
The shot also contains a set of coordinates, which while largely ignored by most audience members, in fact lead inquisitive viewers to a location where Hobbs clearly isn't coaching the football team.
As it turns out, the coordinates are actually for Universal Studios Hollywood in California, and given that The Fast and the Furious franchise is distributed by Universal themselves, this was clearly a cheeky feat of self-promotion by the company.
For anyone hoping the coordinates might reveal something, anything about the movie itself, it was nothing more than a cheap reminder that Universal runs a chain of successful theme parks which they really, really want you to visit.
