8. Deus Ex Mosasaurus - Jurassic World

The Moment: As the Indominus Rex runs wild throughout the park, Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) resorts to the drastic measure of luring the park's T-Rex (presumably the same one from the original Jurassic Park) into a fight with it. A brawl ensues in which the Indominus is victorious, but before it can finish off the T-Rex, the surviving raptor Blue makes the save, resulting in a 2-v-1 match as the T-Rex regains its footing. The pair manage to back the Indominus into a corner, where the Mosasaurus suddenly dives out of its enclosure, grabs the Indominus around the neck and drags it into the water, killing it. Why The Fanboys Hate It: Now, there's little point arguing about the overall awesomeness of this scene, even ignoring the ridiculousness of Claire wearing heels throughout the whole thing, but boy, isn't that a convenient way to get rid of the big bad? The fight was just starting to get going and then it's suddenly ended out of nowhere by the hilariously oversized water-based dino who was introduced earlier in the movie. It also seems flagrantly ridiculous as this sees the Mosasaur taking a big risk by leaping out of its tank, when in the movie previously, we've only seen it leap into the air, Seaworld style, to earn its dinner. If it can just dive out of the enclosure whenever it wants, how come no guests have been eaten yet?
