There have been many, many different film adaptations of Charles Dickens's timeless classic, A Christmas Carol, with everyone from Michael Caine to Scrooge McDuck filling the role of the miserable miser Ebenezer Scrooge.

The three ghosts that Scrooge encounters are even more widely interpreted, and the final one, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, has never been more terrifying than in the 2009 Disney animated version.

Its skeletal, hooded shape is faithful to the book, but where it gains an identity of its own is in its perpetual 'shadow form'. It doesn't seem to exist in the same dimensional plane as Scrooge or the people around him, and can grow and shrink at will, slinking along the pavement and the sides of buildings.

A fleeting glimpse shows the ghost's skull-like eyes, but as far as piecing this being together in your mind goes, that's the best clue you ever get. Apart from this, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come is merely a shadow on the wall, and, for you at least, won't ever be anything more or less.
