Though It Chapter Two did provide fans with a brief glimpse of Pennywise's (Bill SkarsgÄrd) origins - by way of his arrival on Earth via a meteor and a fleeting depiction of his "human" form Bob Gray - a more disturbing look at the character's past was cut from the first movie.

Writer Gary Dauberman penned a flashback scene which depicted Pennywise in the early 1600s as a naked, half-formed impersonation of a human, who convinces a local woman to surrender her young child in order to avoid the entire town being feasted upon.

The scene ends with Pennywise devouring the baby while its mother is hypnotised by the deadlights. Though the sequence was actually filmed, and director Andy Muschietti hinted it would be released at some point, to date it still hasn't surfaced.
