She may be known for being a feature player in Fox's X-Men universe and a fully fledged Academy Award winner today, but back in 2011, few were aware just how big a cinematic force Jennifer Lawrence would later become.

If fans were able to glimpse into the future and see just how well the youngster would embody the part of Katniss Everdeen in the much anticipated Hunger Games cinematic adaptations, you have to imagine the initial disgust from some at the news of her casting would've been much more short-lived. But, as we know too well, they weren't and it wasn't.

Distasteful claims that Lawrence's weight didn't match the character fans knew from the book, with some stating she needed to be much skinnier due to being starved for much of her life, were coupled with doubts over whether the actor could front a series of this size so early into her career.

Those critical comments, along with any other doubts surrounding her casting, were quickly put to bed when Lawrence quickly got diehards, casuals and critics all onside with a stoic-yet-relatable turn in the first of many successful Hunger Games ventures.
