10 Movie Plot Twists Everyone Saw Coming

8. Tally Is The Killer - All-American Murder

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZ02VEyGlvQ Alright, alright, this isn't going to be a twist everyone saw coming because this isn't exactly a film most people have heard of, though the twist is one of the most obvious I have ever seen. Granted, I caught All-American Murder on some crappy movie channel in the twilight hours, but I was paying enough attention to realise what was going to happen pretty early on. The premise follows Artie Logan (Charlie Schlatter) as he pursues a promising young woman, Tally Fuller (Josie Bissett), who soon enough winds up murdered, having been set ablaze. The eye of suspicion falls largely on Artie, but there's one key element that made things obvious who the real killer was from the outset. Not long after meeting Tally, she ends up talking to him about her watch, which has a special engraving on it from her father. The burned corpse had this watch as its key identifying element, which would be a very easy way for someone to fake their own death...in a world where dental records didn't exist. Yes, it's obvious that Tally wasn't dead, and was actually the killer. When a film makes so much of a point to draw attention to something, it is never by accident. Red herrings do not devote themselves to detail as much as this watch is.
