10 Movie Prequels You Didn't Know Were Coming

1. The King's Man

The state of the Kingsmen franchise was a bit of a confusing one up until very recently, because reports suggested that Taron Egerton wasn't returning but then that he was, just not straight away because the next movie wouldn't be a sequel but an expansion of the universe.

It turns out that it's actually a prequel and it sounds absolutely bonkers. It will star Ralph Fiennes as TE Lawrence and a host of starry talent as some of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds who gather to plot a war to wipe out millions. It's an origin story for the Kingsmen agency, clearly, and some of the characters involved suggest quite the story.

We're going to see Rasputin (played by Rhys Ifans), Gemma Arterton's Mata Hari, Charles Dance as Field Marshall Haig and Gavrilo Princip, the assassin of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and a cast also including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Daniel Bruhl, Liam Neeson, Stanley Tucci and Djimon Hounsou. It's going to be a riot.
