Who would have thought that a Monk that was like a hundred years old could kick so much ass? Chow Yun-fat plays the nameless warrior who has been in charge of protecting a sacred scroll which contains ancient and powerful knowledge, and has been pursued for over half a century by a band of trigger-happy Nazis and their ageing chief. Why? Well, knowledge of the scroll makes you younger, almost immune to injury and augments your physical abilities, which is something of a prize. Cut forward 60 years as the Monk meets Stifler from American Pie (aka Seann William Scott), who he believes might be a worthy successor for scroll-protecting duties. What follows is Chow Yun-fat brandishing handguns and kicking butt, with Scott looking all sorts of shocked. Hes constantly beating the spit out of super Nazis and makes it look easier than any senior citizen you have ever come across in your life, including that grandfather who always told you how awesome he was in the 50s. And you thought all monks were peaceful and non-violent? Hogwash! We have no idea how that myth got started, but it sure as hell doesn't apply to this guy.
