10 Movie Promotional Publicity Stunts You Won't Believe

4. Psychic Girl In Coffee Shop - Carrie (2013)

Carrie Chloe Moretz This recently released horror is based upon the best-selling Stephen King novel, his debut, and is a remake of the classic '70s film about Carrie White, a sheltered and outcast girl who possesses telekinetic powers, who is pushed one step too far at her prom. While the film, despite a great turn by Chloe Grace Moretz of Hit Girl fame, felt superfluous, the marketing campaign was inventive to say the least. Despite not having made a spectacular impact in the cinema, Sony's promotional stunt gained headlines around the world with a stunt they staged in a New York coffee shop that was released virally. Again, the stunt was the brainchild of Thinkmodo and had people all over the world sharing the video with 48,471,661 (and counting) YouTube views. It features a young girl who freaks out and unleashes her rather surprising telekinetic powers upon a "member of the public." The looks on the faces of the other customers is priceless. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlOxlSOr3_M&feature=youtu.be
