2. Slate's Spoiler Specials
Released: Usually weekly at Slate.com Slate describes their show as a "postview," an audio critique of a new release meant to be listened to
after seeing the movie. Slate movie critic Dana Stevens is joined by a guest who is usually familiar and knowledgeable of the film at hand; and the two go deep into discussions of plot holes, twist endings, and their overall impressions. The shows are usually filmed right after Stevens and her guest leave the press screening of a new release, and each episode is only about 25-30 minutes long (with some earlier episodes actually closer to the 10-minute range). It's a short, fun podcast to listen to, perfect for your commute to work or when you have a spare few minutes. Though the episodes aren't as long as typical podcasts, a lot of ground is covered and there's always an interesting, thoughtful discussion happening.
