10 Movie Remakes Much Better Than The Original

4. Little Shop Of Horrors (1986)

Based on the Roger Corman black comedy of the same name, Frank Oz's Little Shop of Horrors changes one key element of the original to deliver one of the greatest B-movies of all time: He turns the film into a musical. Even the most stubbornly anti-musical among us have to admit that the decision to include an abundance of song-and-dance added a wonderful quirkiness to the film that made it more bubbly and, somehow, creepier as well. (Something about doo-wop music playing as man-eating plant devours flesh is... unsettling.) And the cast in Oz's version is chockablock with incredible talent, including Rick Moranis, Steve Martin, Bill Murray, Tichina Arnold, Christopher Guest, and John Candy.
