10 Movie Reviews Better Than The Movie Itself

7. Solo: A Star Wars Story - Jeremy Jahns

Many were up-in-arms about the very idea of Solo. Many detractors felt it would only further the downward slant after The Last Jedi with the best-case scenario being that it only further reinforces the unnecessary nature of the project.

Supporters saw an opportunity for more Star Wars goodness adjacent to the original trilogy's timeline. This divide was not remedied by the release of the film either, with fans and non-fans still at odds on their opinion.

The nature of Solo fans and critics being so at odds with each other is what makes Jeremy Jahns' Choose-Your-Own-Review so perfect. While he does have a standard video on his genuine thoughts on the film, this video was released shortly after because both sides of the Solo fence kept telling him how wrong he was. In response, he made this interactive review where each component of the film (spoilers included) was discussed from a critical or praise-heavy perspective.

The idea's so refreshing and original idea that you end up just surprised nobody else tried it before. A perfect response to those too-vocal YouTube commenters and a great commentary on the nature of reviews that just say what people want to hear.
