10 Movie Reviews Better Than The Movie Itself

4. The Happening - Chris Stuckmann

Another movie reviewer who typically specializes in analyzing films on a more straightforward technical level, Chris Stuckmann does find some occasional opportunities to have fun at a particularly bad movie's expense. This is where his Hilarocity series comes into play. Centered around movies so laughably incompetent that they become a laugh-out-loud good time, these Hilariocity reviews are always a joy to check out.

While there are several great installments of this series, his review on the Shaquille O'Neal-led film Steel is worth plenty of good laughs. The mixture of the somewhat baffling nature of Steel itself mixed with Chris's constantly puzzled (to say the least) responses mirrors everything you feel after each clip. Stuckmann's ability to maintain a straight face through much of the ludicrous clips shown is impressive, but those rare moments where he can't help but break out laughing are priceless.

In real-time, Steel would be a hard watch. After all, the movie is a victim of the time period it came out in when superhero movies were still figuring themselves out. There aren't many out there thankful for Steel's existence but with reviews like this one made in response, it makes it all worth it.
