10 Movie Scenes Everyone Skips

7. Peter Parker's "Emo" Dance - Spider-Man 3

Some might say that Spider-Man 3 as a movie is pretty skippable, and while it's certainly full of dramatic misfires, not one is as widely mocked and debated as Peter Parker's (Tobey Maguire) risible "emo dance."

After becoming infected with the symbiote, Peter undergoes a personality transplant of-sorts, becoming carefree and over-confident - basically the total opposite of everything Peter Parker has ever been.

This culminates in the spectacularly cringe-worthy sequence where Peter dances down the street, making numerous failed attempts to impress the women of New York.

Now, it's important to note that the scene intentionally ratchets up the cringe to thermonuclear levels - Peter isn't meant to be funny or charming, as evidenced by the looks of all the female passers-by.

Yet despite being wilfully goofy, it's just a little too much Sam Raimi silliness for the movie to support, and so you couldn't be blamed for just whizzing right past it.
