10 Movie Science Experiments That Went Horribly Wrong

8. Weird Science (1985)

Weird Science For every seriously scientific the-world-is-going-to end theme, there is always one movie which takes a U-turn and tends to brighten up the mood. Well, this might not be a universal opinion on Weird Science if you are a geek adolescent in the eighties being bullied by a young Robert Downey Jr. Inspired by the number 1 experiment gone wrong on this list (which should have been an obvious red alert for them not to try this at home), Gary and Wyatt decide to manufacture the ideal women using their computer. Because their geeks of course they know how to hack into the Government to gain more processing power and they finish off the experiment by attaching a Barbie doll to the PC. Compared to the flashing red alert symbol that was invisible to them previously, an apparent lighting strike causes the perfect Lisa to appear. They soon find out that she isn€™t exactly perfect; she has superpowers of manipulate memory amongst other things. Then Downey Jr and his sidekick want their own manufactured woman too, naturally. But the toy they are installed is a missile plonked on Wyatt€™s bedroom floor. Sticking with real women is probably the best way forward.
