7. Gremlins 3
It's refreshing to hear the powers that be would never consider remaking or rebooting Gremlins, there will only be a sequel or nothing at all.
Since the second entry in the horror-comedy series dropped in 1990, we've only had the latter, but serious talk about another new batch of Gremlins emerged late last year.
Zach Galligan, who played Billy Peltzer in the first two movies, was quoted in December 2016 as saying that Gremlins 3 is moving forward with Warner Bros, Steven Spielberg and Chris Columbus attached.
He told Bleeding Cool...
"[Columbus] He has been aggressively working on a Gremlins 3 that takes place in present day. He tantalisingly says there will be some new characters and some old characters - I guess in the style of a Force Awakens type sequel - One thing we know for sure is they have a writer on board."
There's been no movement on Gremlins 3 since, but nobody has poured cold water on the reports yet. Mind you, if they did, it would only help spawn more Gremlins.
