10 Movie Sequels That Will NEVER Be Made

Sorry about the pun, but the opportunity was too good to miss.

A film about a rat in Paris who controls a human by pulling his hair and lives out his dreams of becoming a chef sounds like the ramblings of a madman when spelled out on paper, but, in reality, it's one of the best animated movies ever made.

Pixar joints don't always get sequels, but Monsters University, The Incredibles 2, and Toy Stories 2-4 all exist. Ratatouille has remained untouched since its 2007 release, thanks largely to its director Brad Bird.

The man behind the aforementioned Incredibles movies, as well as The Iron Giant and, weirdly, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, gave an interview in 2018 where he said he had no desire to revisit the kitchen at Gusteau's.

"That story is told," he said, before adding, "No one apparently wants anything new anymore. I’m a little at odds with society on that."

So, a Ratatouille sequel doesn't exist because its director doesn't believe in sequels... but he did direct The Incredibles 2. Maybe there's hope for the cuisine-loving rodent yet.
