10 Movie Sequels We Secretly Want To See

1. Beetlejuice 2

As legend has it, we almost got a Beetlejuice sequel some years ago that tends to be lumped in with the Roger Rabbit 2, Gremlins 3 and ET 2 called Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian, for some reason. It never went into production, but then Winona Ryder confirmed a sequel was in the offing in 2015, then a screenwriter was reportedly hired in 2017 and then... Nothing, mostly.

The Beetlejuice musical's success and popularity has inspired more talk of a sequel again, but Warner Bros say it's not in active development and the thinking seems to be that it would take a hell of a script idea to bring Tim Burton and Michael Keaton back in.

But how good would seeing Keaton play Betelgeuse again be? He's arguably more nuanced in his weird, intense acting performances these days and seeing him come full circle to play an older, stranger version of him would be absolute gold.
