4. Galaxy Quest 2

It would be fair to say that Tim Allen has leant on the Toy Story franchise hard in recent years. Sure, he has Last Man Standing as well, which still has health viewer numbers and - significantly - hasn't lost many in recent years (hence its renewal for an eighth season), but his movie career has mostly dried up.

Whether he will return as Buzz Lightyear again remains to be seen, but it would be great to see him return for the continued adventures of Jason Nesmith AKA Commander Peter Quincy Taggart. It's now been 20 years since the NSEA Protector took flight and while the sad death of Alan Rickman would rob a sequel of one of its most interesting characters, there's enough story potential in this universe (particularly now that The Orville has proved Star Trek homages can be successful) without him. And that could even be a foundation for the plot as a tribute.

With Picard exploring the last hurrah of another famous starship captain, seeing the twilight of Nesmith's crew would be a brilliant parallel.
