5. Ace Ventura 3

Jim Carrey has come a long way since he made the first two Ace Ventura movies. He's done a fair bit of dramatic work - to great acclaim - he's sabotaged the marketing of one of his own movies over gun violence concerns and he's coming full circle on his more caricature-led performances with Sonic. Or at least it certainly looks that way.

Carrey could also do a lot worse than reviving Ventura even after the travesty of Ace Ventura, Jr. and whispers of a reboot. An older, wiser take on the character as the global ecology crisis is such big news almost writes itself and any opportunity to see Carrey really enjoying himself in the role that made him would be great.

Interestingly, Ventura is also Carrey's most political character (or has the potential to be) and it would be rather fitting for him to return there given his more overt political leanings these days.
