Sporting one of the greatest movie sequel titles ever, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget - the followup to Aardman Animations' stop-motion classic - will debut on Netflix in 2023, over two decades after the original.

This long-awaited continuation will once again revolve around Ginger and Rocky (now voiced by Thandiwe Newton and Zachary Levi, respectively) as they attempt to conquer an all-new threat to chickenkind. Presumably, that threat will be some sort of nugget-making monstrosity, like Mrs. Tweedy's pie machine in the first film.

Game of Thrones alums David Bradley and Bella Ramsey have joined the cast this time around too, with Ramsey playing Ginger and Rocky's daughter, Molly.

No specific release window has been announced other than that vague 2023, but with Aardman having lost none of its magic in recent years, Dawn of the Nugget is guaranteed to be a treat regardless of what time of the year it drops.
