10 Movie Sequels You Didn't Realise Were Happening

Joining the likes of Bill & Ted and The Matrix franchises both finding new ways to unleash another much-loved Keanu Reeves entity back into fans' lives, it looks like none other than John Constantine himself is set for another round of supernatural mysteries on the big-screen, too.

Both Reeves and the original Constantine film's director Francis Lawrence have agreed to join forces once again with Warner Bros. for a planned sequel to that 2005 super-horror caper, with Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind) being brought in to pen the script for the long-awaited Constantine comeback.

Not much is known about the follow-up outside of Reeves very much dusting off his supernatural exorcist and demonologist coat, mind. But judging from Lawrence's comments about the potential of stepping back into the underworld for another Constantine tale back in 2011, there's every chance fans may be treated to a much darker and more horrifying take on the character this time around:

"...it would be great to do the really dark, scary [version]. We got caught in that weird PG-13 - R no man's land, and we should do the hard-R scary version, which I would love to do."
