10 Movie Sequels You Didn't Realise Were Happening

Initially conceived as part of Marvel Studios' never-ending stream of Disney+ TV offerings, there was a point when it felt as though the Don Cheadle-starring Armor Wars was in real danger of getting lost in the shuffle by the time it actually touched down on the streaming service.

Seemingly feeling the same way or simply sensing there was more potential in having Cheadle's Colonel James Rhodes strut his stuff as War Machine on the big-screen rather than in a six-part series, it was recently announced that the MCU sequel will now actually be making its way into the world as a movie instead.

Perhaps this is a response to some fans' criticism of many of the recent Marvel (and other Disney live-action series for that matter) often feeling as though they're spreading their story material a little thin in order to fit the multiple episode run-time. Or maybe the tale being crafted by Yassir Lester just suits the cinematic realm more than the small-screen one.

Either way, what fans first expected to be War Machine's corner of the TV Marvel universe now looks to be blasting into theatres between 2023-2025 instead.
