10 Movie Sequels You Won't Believe Are Happening
3. Tarantino's Star Trek
Now, this one's slightly more complex than the others, because nobody yet has much of a clue what sort of shape Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek project will take. All we know, as of the most recent update, is that it's still firmly on the table, that Tarantino intends to go for an R-rating and that it's been written, but he needs to work on the script, which he hasn't yet had a chance to do.
Whether or not he plans to use the same cast that were in the sadly disappointing (but genuinely great) Star Trek Beyond is up in the air right now but whatever way he's going, he's making a franchise film for the first time, which is where the intrigue really comes in.
Sure, Tarantino has made movies in his own shared universe, but for him to take someone else's idea is a strange new world for him. A final frontier, if you will. And that presents issues for him that he's never faced before as well as the tantalising prospect of a completely unprecedented Star Trek film.
