2. The Passion Of The Christ: Resurrection

Back in 2016, the idea of Mel Gibson making a sequel to his hard-hitting The Passion Of The Christ was first floated, with Braveheart writer Randall Wallace involved. He confirmed the title would be The Resurrection Of The Christ, though that seems to have been changed (either by design of media accident) to The Passion Of The Christ: Resurrection since then.

Rumour had it back then that part of the film would take place in Hell and would primarily focus on the three days following Jesus' death and his return. Quite why Hell would be involved is anyone's guess. It all sounded a little... odd for a mainstream audience, considering the limited scope of normal "bible movies" but it's happening nonetheless.

Jim Caviezel is returning and filming has already kicked off with a release set around Easter 2020. Expect it to be divisive, to say the least.
