10 Movie Trailers That Don't Spoil ANYTHING

7. Unbreakable

The Unbreakable trailer seems pretty straightforward. A man called David Dunn is involved in a horrific train crash that kills everyone onboard save for himself. Not only does he survive, he is miraculously unharmed.

A mysterious figure called Elijah Price informs David that he must have survived for a reason and tries to convince him that he is destined to serve a higher purpose.

As intriguing as this premise is, the teaser gives no indication how the story is structured. Because the film opens with a text detailing comic book statistics and is then followed up by a scene of a doctor informing a mother that her child was born with all his limbs broken, many viewers probably thought they were watching the wrong movie.

The train crash occurs early on in the story, which throws off the audience even more. There's no build up. We don't get to know the characters. It happens within the first 15 minutes. After David leaves the hospital, most viewers had the same revelation: they had ZERO idea what is going to happen next.
