10. Who's Benedict Cumberbatch Playing In Batman V. Superman?

BBC reporter Chi Chi Izundu grilled Benedict Cumberbatch about rumours that he'll be playing the Big Bad in Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice and roundly refused to give a straight answer, saying he's "not going to put to bed rumours he's the baddie". As we all know, a non-denial can sometimes be as good as a confirmation, especially when it comes to villains played by the British actor (we're looking at you, John-Harrison-oh-wait-he's-actually-Khan-after-all), but we're not the types to jump to conclusions about this sort of thing. Even if he is scheduled to appear in the film, he may still be in the final stages of talks and the cast is already overflowing with characters already. So who could he be playing? Lex Luthor's already taken, so maybe he'll be sporting green makeup and a similarly cerebral persona as Brainiac. Others are tipping him for a more physical role as Metallo or possibly the Martian Manhunter in a an antagonistic interpretation of the character. But there haven't been any Gotham-based characters so far. Could the unthinkable happen with Cumberbatch facilitating the return of the Joker?
