3. X-Men: Apocalypse Will Mark "The End Of A Story Arc For The First Class Characters"
Last week in X-Men news, then: Simon Kinberg, producer and screenwriter, revealed that the upcoming sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past, subtitled Apocalypse, will mark the end of a lengthy story arc for the First Class actors attached to this franchise. Which is to say, everybody who has been involved with the X-Men films ever since that movie, really, which presumably includes the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender. In his own words, then:
"I will say that it is definitely the close of a trilogy for those First Class characters.Which isnt to say we wont see them in future movies, hopefully we will, but its a completion of an arc for them. I think that the friendship between Erik and Charles, which has always been so integral to the franchise, is something were continuing to explore and hopefully deepen with Apocalypse. And the relationship between Beast and Mystique is a really interesting one that we didnt have a lot of time to explore in Days of Future Past, so well have an opportunity to do more of that in Apocalypse.
