10 Movie Villains Killed By Characters Nobody Expected

7. Emilio Largo - Thunderball

Despite the James Bond franchise's obsession with giving 007 lithe, athletic female sidekicks, disappointingly few of them have ever actually managed to put much of a dent in Bond's various nemeses.

The most notable exception to date, however, came rather early in the Bond canon with 1965's fourth movie, Thunderball.

At the end of the film, the eyepatch-wearing SPECTRE Number Two Emilio Largo (Adolfo Celi) actually manages to get the drop on Bond (Sean Connery) during their fight on his runaway boat.

As Largo pulls his gun and prepares to put 007 down once and for all, however, he's speared through the back with a harpoon by Bond girl Domino (Claudine Auger), avenging her brother's murder in the process.

Fingers crossed that the upcoming No Time to Die might similarly pass the baton to any one of its several promising femme fatales and let them wipe the villainous Safin (Rami Malek) off the board.
