10 Movie Villains Who Got Disappointingly Lame Deaths

2. Lord Voldemort - Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows - Part 2

Though the final Harry Potter movie was generally well received by fans and general audiences alike, the much-anticipated death of Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes)? Not so much.

Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) finally manages to defeat Voldemort after the Horcruxes protecting him are destroyed and he deflects the Killing Curse back at him, causing him to disintegrate.

The problem for many is that, beyond the evaporating villain schtick being wildly overdone in cinema, it strays from the source material.

In the book, it's written that "Tom Riddle hit the floor with a mundane finality, his body feeble and shrunken," which serves to remind the audience of the humanity behind the villain, now defeated.

Yet the movie goes for something more outlandish and fantastical, having him effectively turn into confetti in death, which wasn't nearly as effective or impactful if certainly a more Cinematic visual.

And finally, if you've not yet seen Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, MAJOR SPOILERS will follow...
