10 Movie Villains Who Will Kick Ass In 2018

5. Killmonger (Black Panther)

2017 was the year that the Marvel Cinematic Universe's villains began to steal more of the spotlight away from the heroes, with Ego, Vulture, and Hela proving three of the best baddies Marvel has offered to date.

And this only bodes well for Black Panther's Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), a villain that, like Ocean Master, has a strong connection to the titular hero and a convincing reason behind his villainy.

Killmonger is a Wakandan native who was exiled by King T'Chaka (Black Panther's father) for reasons unknown, and in the movie, Killmonger returns to have his revenge on Black Panther by forcefully removing him from the throne.

Killmonger is a former black-ops soldier, and as such, his combat skills are second-to-none. He can handle a variety of weapons with ease and will have no problems facing Black Panther in a one-on-one melee brawl. He also wears the Golden Jaguar suit, a vibranium-infused shield that will make him a very tough opponent to crack.

But it's Killmonger's determination that will make him a force to be reckoned with. All he wants is the throne - and he doesn't care what he has to do to get it. The MCU's villains are currently on a hot streak, and the fact that Killmonger is both a physical threat and a layered character should make him one of 2018's standout antagonists.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for over ten years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show. Like many his age, he first got into Doctor Who with the 2005 revival, but has since gone back and fallen in love with the classic years too. If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order, or to give you a random factoid about the making of Gridlock, Danny is the person to ask!
