10 Movie Villains Who Will Kick Ass In 2019

The Fast & Furious franchise was never renowned for its memorable villains - until recently. Starting in 2013 with Fast & Furious 6's Owen Shaw (or, if you count Luke Hobbs as a villain, 2011's Fast Five), the series has focused on delivering bad guys who are as clever, witty, and dangerous as the heroes, and the results have been great ever since.

Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw and Charlize Theron's Cipher suitably upped the ante in the latest two movies, but next year, the franchise is poised to feature its most ruthless antagonist yet, with Idris Elba entering the fray as a character called Brixton.

Elba is known for his cool, composed demeanour (both on and off screen) and is brilliant at playing no-nonsense characters who like to get things done. This trait - combined with his ability to portray intimidating villains, like The Jungle Book's Shere Khan - will make Brixton a determined, towering presence, a character who slices through the story like it's made of butter and doesn't let anyone get in his way.

Dwayne Johnson even called him "undefeated", which gives you some clue as to what we're in for. Suffice to say, any man capable of going toe-to-toe with The Rock and Jason Statham - at the same time - is someone to be wary of.
