There is always going be debate and disagreement when it comes to watching movies. There is never going to be a film that pleases every single person who watches it, as proven by even the likes of The Shawshank Redemption and The Godfather Part II falling short of a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score.

With that in mind, there were a lot of people who enjoyed 2016's Swiss Army Man, but it potentially set a record for the most people to ever walk out of a screening at the Sundance Festival.

The film has a weird premise, and features Daniel Radcliffe in a role radically different from that of Harry Potter, something that he was still trying to emerge from the shadow of. If farting corpses and conversations about masturbation aren't your thing, then maybe Swiss Army Man isn't for you.

These were clearly the thoughts of those who left before it finished at Sundance in 2016, as it went on to receive similarly divisive reviews when it released proper one year later. Maybe audiences weren't ready to see their Harry Potter like this, but Daniel Radcliffe needed to break away from only being thought of as the Boy Who Lived, and it's fair to say his role as Manny did wonders in this regard.
