10 Movies That Changed Your Mind About Actors You Loved

3. Al Pacino - Jack & Jill

Alongside Robert De Niro, Al Pacino is frequently hailed as one of the finest actors of his generation - roles in movies such as The Godfather, The Godfather Part: II, Scarface, Dog Day Afternoon and Serpico have granted this actor with one of the strongest filmographies in Hollywood history. At least, that was the case until Pacino decided to take a part in what is perhaps the worst Adam Sandler movie to date, Jack & Jill, whereupon he plays himself in a role that swings back and forth between totally self-aware and being totally not aware at all. Huh? So Pacino has - and will most likely continue to - offer up solid acting performances until the day he decides to call it quits and retires to his mausoleum or whatever. But now when people think of Pacino, likelihood is that they're not thinking about classic Pacino... they're thinking of modern Pacino - the kind of guy who's completely fine with taking a role in a film where Adam Sandler plays identical twins of different genders (seriously). So although it's petty to say that Jack & Jill made us reconsider Pacino entirely, it really is difficult to think of him in the same way ever since.
