10 Movies Everyone Is Embarrassed To Admit They Like

8. Dirty Dancing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFK_i5r1WJk And now we come to pure cheese. Perhaps, as with several entries on this list, I'm saying this as a guy who is socially engineered to want to like explosive action movies above all else (if we're going to stereotype, as it saves time), but admitting to actually enjoying this nonsensical dance film is considered something of a sin in heterosexual male circles. I'd dare not profess my admiration for the film at the pub, or end up vilified with my man card lying in tattered pieces on the floor. But hey, I like it. I like Patrick Swayze's enthusiasm, Jennifer Gray's physical appeal, and the sexual tension garnered from their chemistry - all the more impressive because they actually didn't get on during filming of both this and Red Dawn prior - as well as the slick dance moves and the iconic music. To be fair, in the interest of balance, I know plenty of women who don't like admitting that they like the film either, because it's cheesy and horribly dated, yet it does have an undeniably exuberant appeal, ably delivering the basic goods.
