6. Baby's Day Out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzow5wUp7hY Much like Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, Baby's Day Out is just one of those films I cannot turn away from, no matter how much my better instincts tell me that I should be watching something else. Hell, even a Michael Bay film seems intellectually and spiritually nourishing next to this tripe, which is written and produced by John Hughes - yes, Home Alone and The Breakfast Club John Hughes - at what is clearly the lowest point of his career. Essentially a live action cartoon, we follow a young baby who is kidnapped by a group of three idiot thugs, before managing to escape and then getting one over on his captors in increasingly absurd ways. The film literally beggars belief and has not a single grasp on reality, yet its car crash appeal is undeniable; seeing actors like Joe Pantoliano and Joe Matenga so enthusiastically put themselves through the wringer is a riot to watch, and it's another I've seen time and time again. I'm going to try and say it - I li...I LIKE Baby's Day Out.
