10 Movies From 2018 That Were Completely Pointless

Living legend Clint Eastwood shows no signs of slowing down, with the 88 year-old still showing both a remarkable appetite for his work and an incredible level of consistency, as he continues to churn out new movies on an almost-annual basis.

Unfortunately, The 15:17 To Paris marked one of the director's lesser efforts of recent years and passed many people by entirely, which wasn't helped by negative reviews. While the true story is incredible, Eastwood's decision to have the real-life heroes play themselves comes across as gimmicky stunt casting and despite the best efforts of the central trio, they are clearly not actors.

The entire movie is undermined by its acting and scripting, which ultimately turned a potentially thrilling contained biopic into a forgettable piece of experimental cinema that saw Eastwood receive his worst reviews in decades.

The 15:17 To Paris would definitely work as either a documentary or a straightforward fictional adaptation, but the movie that we got turned a gripping true-life tale into a workmanlike and instantly-forgettable would-be thriller.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
