3. Hellboy
Probably a good thing that everyone's already forgotten this one.
This movie is horrible. Its trailers were horrible. Its legacy is horrible.
To say the original Hellboy movies were runaway successes just hankering to be rebooted would be the overstatement of the century, but 2019's Hellboy was just an atrocity on all accounts.
An R-rated mess of a film, David Harbour is the only redeemable part of an adaptation of a beloved comic book character managing to only make $40 million worldwide against an already cautious $50 million production budget, earning only 18% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Needless to say, a sequel or another Hellboy reboot are far from on the cards for the foreseeable future. With the complete over saturation of the superhero movie market leading to even the big guns in the industry falling short sometimes, it's probably best to leave it to the pros.
