10 Movies From The 2000s That Made More Money Than You Thought

6. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
Universal Pictures

Once disaster happens, it's hard to find any compelling reason to get characters back to those dinosaur infested islands. The Lost World ran into this problem, and Fallen Kingdom didn't fix it much. The park is such a good setting, it's hard to enjoy any film, regardless of quality, that doesn't feature the park.

But executives exist, so they made another one, and they did a pretty good job.

Some people hate it; others liked it, but it just couldn't beat the original, which is why it's one of the only franchises where $413,000,000 domestic is considered bad. Kind of like Age of Ultron, it's hard to top perfection. But this film did its own thing, people watched it, it made money, and another one's coming.

Fallen Kingdom made money, but there was little fanfare as this film will, like it or not, will probably go the way of the other Jurassic sequels.
