10 Movies From This Decade That Better F***ing Get Sequels

3. Drive

DriveThe Pitch: No doubt spurred on by the success of the 2011 movie, the source novel's author James Sallis, wrote a sequel novel, Driven, which was published last year. It takes place 7 years after Drive, and has Driver (Ryan Gosling) returning to his old ways after his fiancee is brutally murdered. Likelihood: Director Nicolas Winding and star Gosling were totally game for a sequel initially, though their interest appears to have cooled since. It's a shame because, after the abject failure that was Refn and Goslin's latest collaboration, Only God Forgives, their partnership could really do with a sure-fire rebound such as this. I'd love to see it happen, but it seems that this one has essentially been sworn off by all the major parties. 1/10.
