10 Movies In The IMDb Bottom 100 Actually Worth Watching

2. Going Overboard (#11)

Just imagine: a comedy movie so bad that even Adam Sandler refuses to acknowledge its existence. Given that he's the genius who gave us motion picture gems such as That's The Boy, Grown Ups, Grown Ups 2 and Jack & Jill, well... that's really saying something. Sandler likes to pretend Going Overboard doesn't exist, of course, because it is one of the least funny movies ever committed to celluloid. It seems unlikely that Sandler could be embarrassed by much, given his output, but this... this was too much, apparently. He never mentions it, refuses to discuss it, and fails to list it on his website admist his filmography. The plot concerns a lowly comedian who tries to make it in the competitive field of cruise ship stand-up, and the results... well, they make Happy Gilmore look like a certified masterpiece. So why should you watch it? Purely, absolutely - defiantly even - because Adam Sandler doesn't want you to; watching him awkwardly squirm through such a terrible picture - one that makes him look like the least funny comedian in the world - is the best revenge you'll ever get for all those duds he's tried to pass off as "movies" over the span of the last decade or so.
