10 Movies It's Impossible To Finish Without Crying

8. Toy Story 3

Pixar really took the pi** with this one. The final chapter in the Toy Story trilogy (at least, until the unnecessary fourth one comes along in 2018... sigh) saw the beloved toys erroneously donated to a Daycare Center, as Andy (now 17) heads off to college. Whilst Sunnyside Daycare initially seems like the best place for the toys to be, the toys eventually decide to break out and return to Andy. The bitter head honcho of Sunnyside, Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear tries to stop them, and all the toys end up en route to a landfill. They soon find themselves on a slag heap heading straight for the incinerator, and Pixar (damn them) actually had audiences fooled into thinking that they were going to kill off Woody, Buzz and the gang, with the toys accepting their fate and all going hand-in-hand to seeming oblivion. I remember looking around me at the cinema and seeing all the tears streaming out from under the array of 3D glasses I saw there, illuminated by that awful orange glow...
...and then the Pizza Planet alien toys come down on the claw and save them all. Never has a collective sigh of relief been so audible. But I'll never forget the look on Buzz' face as he simply reaches his hand out to Jessie, after she asks him "What are we gonna do?". Freakin' Pixar.
