10 Movies Nobody Asked For (That Might Be Great)
7. Toy Story 5
If the first three Toy Story movies are basically flawless, Toy Story 4 was an "unnecessary" addendum that Pixar just about got away with.
But that really seemed like the firmly shut end of the mainline franchise, yet of course, it wasn't too long before Disney confirmed that a fifth go-around was in the works.
While it's easy to groan about the Mouse House milking Toy Story to death, there are some kernels of promise that the fifth film might actually offer up a story worth telling.
Beyond Tom Hanks and Tim Allen returning as Woody and Buzz once again, the big coup here is securing the great Andrew Stanton to direct, who is responsible for some of Pixar's very best films, namely Finding Nemo and WALL-E.
Furthermore, Toy Story 5 will see the toys battling technology like tablets and phones for kids' attention, which is certainly nothing if not a timely theme.
At the very least, it's incredibly unlikely that the sequel is anything less than good, but it could certainly turn out great even if it's hardly a film anyone "needs" on paper.
