Arguably the greatest bad movie ever made, Neil LaBute's remake sees Nicolas Cage go full meme in a performance so wildly over the top that it has since become the stuff of legend. The actor has since hinted that he deliberately played it for laughs but let's be honest, he isn't fooling anyone. It is simply a tour-de-force of classic Cage Rage.
As a remake of a classic horror, The Wicker Man sucks on every conceivable level. When viewed as an out-and-out comedy, it becomes a work of genius. Quite how the project went from an ill-judged and misguided endeavor to perhaps the most unintentionally hilarious movie of all time is anybody's guess, but we're just glad that it happened.
Full of endlessly quotable dialogue from "killing me won't bring back your godd*mn honey!" to the iconic "Not the bees! My eyes!", The Wicker Man also features the sights of Nic Cage stealing a bicycle at gunpoint and punching a woman square in the face while dressed as a bear. In short, total and utter what-the-f**kery of the comically bad variety.
