Adrianne Palicki appeared in the very first episode of Supernatural, playing Sam Winchester’s college girlfriend Jess. She suffered a very memorable fate at the conclusion of that pilot episode, cementing her brief but important appearance in Supernatural lore for the remainder of the show’s long run.

Elektra Luxx is an independent movie written and directed by Sebastian Guttierez. Telling several interconnecting stories, the movie’s central premise revolves around the adult movie industry, its main cast consisting of a retired pornstar, a porn critic and two pornstars turned escorts. Adrianne plays Holly Rocket, a ditzy but well-meaning and optimistic young woman who is joining her friend Bambi on an escorting double-date (the second appearance of actress Emmanuelle Chriqui on this list).

The movie is comical in a quirky sense and explores issues around sexuality, societies perception and judgement of it and the pursuit of dreams as the newness of youth wears away and the reality of life begins to set in.

Adrianne Palicki is fantastic in this ensemble cast and provides a good dose of levity and charm to the proceedings. The movie is intelligent and funny and is a high recommend for those who don’t mind the lower budgets of independent cinema.
