5. Rhinestone

Another Razzie-nominated film that won Sly the distinction of "Worst Actor", Rhinestone is the first of two "fish out of water" buddy pics that sees Stallone awkwardly paired with a woman he has absolutely no chemistry with. The film, directed by Bob Clark, has Dolly Parton really stretch herself as an actress, playing a country singer who tries to transform Stallone's cabbie character into a stage performer. Naturally, it was universally panned for its terrible performances and inept plotting, and the film's screenwriter Phil Alden Robinson even considered having his name stricken from the credits, given how much Stallone had tampered with the script, though he was ultimately convinced that having his name attributed to a film this high-profile would be good for his career (it wasn't). These pairings rarely work, and even though Hollywood continues to churn them out, this is one of the most persistent reminders why.
